    It is required that you be working in a Records role during this qualification. Assessments require access to workplace records management procedures.

  • Prior Education or Work Experience Requirements

    To enrol you must have either a Certificate III in Recordkeeping, Certificate III in Business (Records and Information Management), Certificate III in Business or at least 2 years' experience in an office role where record keeping was required.

  • Required Qualification Reading Skills

    You will need to read complex texts like workplace policies, extract key ideas, and use basic reading strategies. Having Year 12 or sound workplace reading skills will set you up for success.

  • Writing Skills for Success

    You'll need to be able to draft complex emails, present detailed ideas clearly, and adapt your document layouts. Having completed Year 12 schooling or solid workplace writing experience ensures you are ready to excel.

  • Communicating in Spoken English

    You must be able to follow conversations, explain complex steps and adapt your speech. Having the spoken English skills to talk professionally with your Student Adviser is a great indicator of your ability.

  • Demonstrate Practical Math Skills

    You will need to understand and use everyday maths in routine tasks. Having completed Year 10 or a practical, working knowledge of basic math functions should ensure you are fully prepared to succeed.

  • Possess Appropriate Digital Skills

    You will need to be able to navigate websites, edit documents or spreadsheets, and manage email. Being able to upload files and use standard applications will ensure you have the right digital foundation.

  • System and Software Needs
