The Onboarding Process

The Onboarding Process

Your enrolment is just the first step. Backed by 30 years of trusted student care, our team is right beside you to set up your Webclass portal, map your skills, and ensure a seamless start.

The Enrolment Process

How you access the enrolment page with ACCM will depend on your enrolment type.

Private Students

If you are a private student, you can enrol directly from our website after selecting the course that is right for you. Alternatively, you will receive a direct enrolment link from us if our team has been helping you select your program. Both options take you to the same secure enrolment form.

Employer-Sponsored or Traineeship Enrolments

If you are enrolling as part of your job, your employer will send you a dedicated ACCM enrolment link. While you will fill out the same form as all other learners, your core details (such as your course stream and employer business profile) will be pre-filled to save you time.

Am I an "ACCM Student" once I submit my form?

Almost. Your submission is formally processed as an enrolment application. Before full acceptance, we work through a few mandatory checks with you to ensure:

  • Your chosen qualification aligns with your personal goals and career needs.

  • You are fully suited for online delivery using ACCM's digital methods.

  • We identify and document any special learning or support requirements you may have.

These factors are carefully evaluated during your enrolment and induction phase. In most cases, you will be formally accepted as a student or trainee once your Initial Skills Assessment is complete. We will contact you immediately if there are any additional eligibility questions to clarify prior to your full acceptance. For complete details on this framework, visit our Admissions and Enrolment Policy.

Webclass and ID Verification

Once your Enrolment Application is submitted, you will gain immediate access to Webclass, our online application portal, to complete the next steps of your journey. You will receive an automated email containing your Webclass username and login information.

As soon as you log in, we highly encourage you to watch the two short introductory videos hosted on your dashboard homepage to ensure a smooth setup:

  1. Verifying your identification with GreenID

  2. Webclass - Getting Started

Once you have reviewed these clips, complete your secure ID verification steps and submit your Initial Skills Assessment (ISA).

The Initial Skills Assessment

  • Allows the ACCM team to get to know your background better.

  • Helps determine your Language, Literacy, and Numeracy (LLN) levels to flag any support adjustments you need.

  • Identifies any Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) or Credit Transfer opportunities to save you study time.

  • Provides a clear baseline for your upcoming course induction.

The Welcome Call

Once your application is submitted, our onboarding team will reach out to connect. Our goal is to connect as soon as practical to set you up for success, but we also want to give you plenty of breathing room.

To ensure you aren't overwhelmed, we will wait at least four hours after you submit your application before calling. We will always attempt to make contact within your first 24 hours.

The Welcome Call will:

  • Introduce ACCM and outline how our team looks after you.

  • Verify that you are able to successfully log in to the Webclass portal.

  • Explain the Initial Skills Assessment (which must be submitted at least one day prior to induction).

  • Book your formal induction call.

  • Remind you to review any elective choices or discuss work study-allocations with your employer beforehand.

You're Welcome to Bring Support

You're welcome to have a family member, community person, or other support person join either the Welcome Call or Induction Call.

Not sure what your support person should do?

They're there to help in whatever way's useful to you:

  • Asking questions you might not think to ask.

  • Jotting down key details.

  • Sharing context about any medical or mental health support needs you'd like us to know about.

  • Just being there so you don't have to take it all in alone.

If you'd like this, just let our onboarding team know beforehand so we can make sure the call works for everyone joining.

The Induction Call

The Induction Call is a critical part of your onboarding and serves as the official gateway to your studies. This supportive call lasts roughly 20 minutes and covers essential baseline topics to launch your course:

  • An official welcome to ACCM.

  • A check-in to ensure you are completely comfortable navigating your Webclass environment.

  • An introduction to the role of your dedicated Student Training Adviser, including contact frequencies.

  • A review of your learning support requirements, electives, and potential Credit Transfers.

  • A quick confirmation of your personal contact details, planned workplace study times, and supervisor profiles.

  • An explanation of your first academic step: completing 10 questions in your first subject to confirm distance learning suitability.

Note for Trainees: State and territory training contracts vary. Any specific regional traineeship criteria or formal Training Plan sign-offs will be clearly managed by your Service One adviser during the call.
