We are committed to ensuring First Nations Peoples are fully respected and supported in their learning journey towards a successful traineeship or vocational qualification.

ACCM College鈥檚 passionate and experienced student advisers and support staff will provide a respectful, safe and culturally sensitive study environment for all of our First Nations students.

As a foundation for our commitment we want to make sure all current and potential First Nations learners are aware of the various support structures and organisations available to help ensure their learning success.

  • Course Selection

    Selecting the right course for you

    Prior to enrolment, ACCM College鈥檚 Client Relationship Team is ready to assist First Nations Peoples across a range of information and support services. 

    This includes helping potential learners determine which course best suits their professional needs or learning goals.

    Although our website provides a great deal of information about each course, our team is ready to provide additional information to make sure each course is the right fit.

  • Onboarding and Getting Started

    Starting off on the good foot

    Once enrolled, ACCM College鈥檚 Service One Team will help ensure a smooth onboarding process.

    Within 24 hours of enrolment, learners will receive a Welcome Call from our Service One team.  The team will then schedule a thorough induction where new students are encouraged to ask questions to help ensure they are set up for success, feel comfortable with our processes and know what comes next.

    Our team will provide information on:

    • ACCM College, the qualification and the RTO's role 
    • Using our online learning platform Webclass
    • Initial Skills Assessment to determine suitability for the desired qualification
    • Opportunities for Recognition of Prior Learning
    • Accessing Learning Materials and submitting Assessments
    • The role of our Student Training Advisers in helping each learner progress
    • How to access coaching support across a range of learning needs

     

    Next, our Service One team will reach out to learners regularly over the first 4-6 weeks to make sure they are comfortable with the learning materials, making progress and are given the opportunity to seek support of any kind.

    After this onboarding period, a dedicated Student Adviser will take over as the primary contact (but still part of a larger support team) and guide each learner through the remainder of their course.

  • Available Government Financial Subsidies

    State and Territory Financial Support

    Each State and Territory has their own unique programs to encourage and subsidise vocational education for their residents.

    Eligibility for subsidised training is based on a range of factors and is established by the individual government program.

    Registered Training Organisations (RTOs) have access to various state subsidies based on their specific government contract and do not necessarily participate in every available program.

    Also, please note that RTOs do not automatically have access to subsidised funding in every state or territory.

    ACCM College is currently contracted to support Entitlement (subsidised program available to First Nations Peoples and the general public) programs in NSW and QLD only.

  • ACCM Student Support and Coaching

    ACCM is here to help

    ACCM College take the education and timely support for all of our learners very seriously.

    Simply put, our learner's success is our success.

    With that desire to help in mind, we employ experienced and professional Student Training Advisers who are available during business hours to offer support and coaching for our learners.

    In most cases, we are able to provide assistance on the spot by phone, and will respond to email contact within one business day.

    For more complex issues, ACCM is happy to set up a longer coaching sessions via phone or video call to help provide specific learning support.

    Students/Trainees simply need to call the College at 1300 201 881.

    If you Student Adviser is available, your call will be routed directly to them.  If not, you can speak to one of our many Student Advisers, who will all be happy to assist.

  • Australian Apprenticeship Network Provider (AANP) Mentoring Programs

    Mentoring Support

    First Nations Peoples enrolled as part of a formal Traineeship have access to an additional layer of mentoring and support via the Australian Apprenticeship Support Network (AASN) providers.

    These organisations help connect employers to Registered Training Organisations in their State or Territory, and also work closely with the state or territory government's regional Training Services.

    Each AASN is staffed with support personnel dedicated to the needs of First Nations Peoples.

    If you are a Trainee and unsure of which AASN you are supported by, just let us know and we can help.

    State and Territory Support is Available

    Australia's State and Territorial government are committed to the success of Traineeships.

    Each region has specific programs (some are referrals to the appropriate agencies) to support First Nations Trainees.
